Year 2 Blogoversary: Acknowledgments

You know how books always have acknowledgments, sometimes at the end? Well, my blog isn’t quite an island and since today is my blogoversary which is kind of like having a birthday, I figure I can invoke the ancient birthday rule of doing whatever the hell I want and thank some people for being awesome.

Shanyn you are a voice of reason. Thank you for being on g-chat to bounce ideas and opinions off of you, and for listening when I need the ear. It’s appreciated more than you know.

Jamie – many awesome g-chats and real life hilarity -like when your bag got stuck in the subway doors (remember that, Shanyn?). I literally cannot wait to hang out again. Thanks for not being awkward, looking like your twitter picture, and just plain not being a weirdo.

Allison – I would probably never have picked up some of my favorite books if not for you. To my favorite book pusher — thanks for being in my life.

LizWe go way back to the halcyon days of goodreads. I’m glad to know you and see how much your blog has expanded over the last year or so. You rock.

Pam – You are literally my favorite twitizen. It takes courage to be so outspoken. Thanks for inspiring me to be a braver person.

CarlaIf I had to choose my favorite person with a British accent, I would choose you. I’m so glad I got to meet you at BEA. You are wonderful and candid in real life. I’m glad to call you a friend.

Anna, Tara, Melanie – Ladies, you made my BEA experience THE BEST EVER. I couldn’t ask for cooler people to have spent that crazy trip with.

Angie, Jen, ChachicI bet I would have a much more manageable TBR if not for y’all. Thanks for expanding my bookish horizons.

Lisa and Ashley – I’m beginning to know you tow a lot better and want to say you both often inject awesome in my day. Rock on crazy kids, rock on.

Kristi, FYA, Book Smugglers – You are my trifecta of blogging idols. For being such huge people in the blogging community – you are all never condescending or snobby and I appreciate that. Thanks for giving me something to aspire to.

Katie – You designed the perfect banner, made me laugh pretty hard at BBC. Thanks so much.

Lindsay Your emails crack me up. ‘How does a person who is in the prenatal stage read?’ ha ha ha

Ginger – Although I never participate, my iPod horizons are expanding because of Tune In Tuesday, so thank you for exposing me to some awesome music.

Book Memoirs, Missy, John, Meredith, Jac – You are all such a pleasure to talk to on twitter. I hope to get to know you all more.

Finally to my readers – I would literally not be blogging if not for you, because really who wants to talk to an empty room. So thank you for filling up my empty room. Thank you for agreeing with me, disagreeing with me, arguing with me. All of it. Thank you. Especially to Christina T and Lena, your comments literally make my day.

If I missed you by name, I’m super sorry, just know it’s around 6:30 a.m. as I type this so, I’m not exactly Einstein at this point in the day.

  24. Hi April! Sorry I didn’t comment on this earlier. I’m just catching up after getting used to Fred the New Arm Brace. We’re becoming good friends.
Thank you so much for the mention and we can’t wait to get to know you more, too. I have managed to get your website blocked across the whole of my group at work because of obsessively visiting your site, so I think that’s a sense of accomplishment there.
Congrats on two years and what a wonderful way to celebrate it! 🙂 Speak soon.
