NEWS:

So, I joined Spark People because my best friend is getting married in September and I want to look gorgeous in whatever hideous bridesmaid dress she chooses and since I suck at healthy eating, and Spark People makes a grocery list AND meal plans and gives you points and such for doing healthy things, I joined, with a goal of getting down to 110 lbs by September.

Wednesday is my 2 year blogoversary. Yay! I’m not the MOST organized so I’m not entirely sure what I’ll be doing for it yet. But bro, I made it through this long strange blogging journey for 2 whole freakin’ years and have had lots of good times!

Also, my round in Nerds Heart YA is coming up soon! My co-judge is Stacked! and we will be deciding between Five Flavors Of Dumb by Antony John (which I read last week) and Toads And Diamonds by Heather Tomlinson to move on.

  1. Nice IMM! I’m very intrigued by Maria V. Snyder, gotta check her books out.

  2. Why haven’t I checked out Marie’s books yet? I’ve heard so many great things! And seeing the covers in your vlog, I’m, like, in love. It seems like EVERYONE loves this series. (And you didn’t come off as a creeper to me *lol* You’re just cool enough to admit it (that you like sexy times in books) without being embarrassed.)

  3. There’s nothing wrong with liking sexy times in books! I promise that it doesn’t make you sound like a creeper. :]
Doesn’t it suck when one person really likes a book, so they convince you to buy it, then it looks like they’re the only person in the world that liked it? That’s never fun. Hopefully you’ll actually like the book! Happy reading! :]

  4. Oooh, looka like you got some great books this week! I was really sad when my Borders went out of business a couple of weeks ago 🙁 Well I hope you enjoy all you got! Here’s my IMM if you want to check it out! Happy reading!

  5. Great mailbox! I haven’t read anything by Snyder, but I have been meaning to. I have have Finniken of the Rock and Lament on my bookshelf waiting to be read. I’ve heard good things about both. Good luck with Sparks People- sounds promising….never heard of it. I’d love to know what you think about it after you are a few weeks in. Enjoy all your books!

  6. I am planning on hitting up the Borders by my work tomorrow to see what the sale is like. Very sad 🙁

hmm…The Summoner does have some wicked bad reviews, yeouch! However, the overall rating still isn’t that bad..so yeah, who knows!

So sad that Borders is closing, but on the (only) bright side, there are amazing deals to be had on great books! Amazing books this week too. I really need to get around to reading the Glass trilogy.
Good luck with the weight loss and happy reading!

  10. The Maria Snyder books are pretty good – I read the first two last year and I have the third on my TBR. I wish I’d seen them at a Border’s sale though!

  11. I really enjoyed the Glass series and yay for Castles! Julie Garwood is by far my favorite historical romance author.
