Tik Tok On The Clock But The #Readathon Don’t Stop

Disclaimer: Frequent Updates due to Readathon.

1)Where are you reading from today?

Upstate NY

2)Three random facts about me…

I love the color pink.

I am on Team Unicorn.

I am awesome at playing triangle.
3)How many books do you have in your TBR pile for the next 24 hours?

20ish, not including Kindle and Audible.
4)Do you have any goals for the read-a-thon (i.e. number of books, number of pages, number of hours, or number of comments on blogs)?

100 comments for the hour that I am cheering. I’d also like to make it for 20 hours doing readathon things. I always crash around hour 18.
5)If you’re a veteran read-a-thoner, any advice for people doing this for the first time?

CAFFEINATE. Read shorter books. Re-read old favorites. Get on the twitters. Get a sign that says Leave Me Alone I Am Readathoning and point to it whenever someone tries to talk to you. Get audiobooks for when you have to do things.

Also I finished my first readathon book:

  1. Wow, what awesome goals. And I know you can totally accomplish that! Hope you have a wonderful READATHON day! Good luck and happy reading!!

  2. Thank you so much for cheering. Happy reading!

  3. You can’t go wrong with Roald Dahl – my fave by him is either The Witches or The BFG.

    Good luck with the read-a-thon!

  4. Yay Roald Dahl! I think The Twits is one of my favorite Dahl books, not least because it apparently makes grown-ups sick. Also, look what I found on the Wikipedia page:

“The idea of The Twits was triggered by Dahl’s desire to “do something against beards”, because he had an acute dislike of them himself. The first sentence of the story — “what a lot of hairy-faced men one sees nowadays” — is a genuine complaint.”

  5. Not joining the readathon but just wanted to leave a comment to cheer you on. Looks like you’re already an expert when it comes to readathons! 🙂 Hope you’re enjoying yourself and that you’re able to finish a lot of books.

  6. I’ve never heard of a read-a-thon before. Best of luck!!!

  7. You’re going great, April! Keep up the good work!

  8. Roald Dahl is such a great choice for the Read-a-Thon! The Twits is funny (and a bit creepy too). I hope things are going well!
