Shooting At The Walls Of Heart Ache: Readathon Update #2

It’s almost hour 9, and an appropriate time to post a readathon update!

I cheered on a ton of blogs, much to my chagrin people still do irritating things on their blogs like word verification, autoplay music, and some did not have any readathon posts, therefore, no cheer from me. My cheers are like gold nuggets you earn them by not being a lazy ass and actually posting.

Right so the books I have finished since my last update:

Diary Of A Wimpy Kid: The Last Straw by Jeff Kinney

Wild Orchid by Cameron Dokey

Carmen by Walter Dean Myers

And I also did the Book Club Suggestion Mini Challenge on Sheila Book Journey’s Blog

AND here is my entry for the Book Origami challenge hosted by Wordlily. I used a page from my damaged ARC of Nevermore.

Origami dog and real dog.

Comments

  1. Yay, cute pups, both!

  2. LOVE the origami dog! 🙂 Too cute! Good work on the books you have read so far! Can’t wait to see more updates along the way!

  3. I really like the Once Upon a Time fairy tales. They aren’t terribly complex or anything, but more often than not, I enjoy their version of the story. And I’m jealous of Carmen! How did you like it?!

Awesome read-a-thoning! And your cheer made my day!

  4. Your comment about cheering cracks me up. The worst are the ones that make commenting nearly impossible. If it takes me 10 minutes to figure out how to comment… Well, I’m anal so I still try to figure it out.

    Anyhoo–hope you’re having a rocktastic readathon!

  5. Thanks for the cheer you left me earlier! I always appreciate a good “Eye of the Tiger” reference. 🙂 Hope you are enjoying the read-a-thon as well!

  6. You are doing awesome!

  7. I want to read those Wimpy Kid books, you should tell me if you think they are fun!

My cheerleading hours I was assigned are hours 18-24 – I hope I don’t get too annoyed by blogs because that is late in the night to be cheering!

  8. Go April, it’s your readathon, gonna party like it’s your readathon (yes your cheer was much better than mine, what of it?!)

You are such a fast reader, congratulations on getting so many books read and on making an origami puppeh that everyone will want to dognap.

  9. Great Job, April! I don’t know how you can read so many books in one day! I’m such a slow (kinda slow) reader! I would have only finished one book!

  10. Looks like you’re having some fun!

I’m here to chew bubblegum and cheer, and I’m all our of bubblegum…

I like the books that thrill
    the books that smile
    the books confuse
    the books that take awhile
But mostly I love the books I devour
    During Readathon’s 24 hours!

  11. I love the origami dog 🙂 Gooo April!

  12. Looks like you’ve been having a great read-a-thon. Keep it up!

  13. I am cheering right now and I feel the same way! Hope you are enjoying the last few hours of the readathon! 😀

  14. Come to cheer you on! Love the book selection. Happy Reading and remember you can do it…in the home stretch! Make it happen and hope to see you at the next event!
