It's fascinating to see other bloggers' review processes. Mine are similar to yours in a lot of ways, but I feel like I got some great tips from hearing how you review books. Keep up the great reviews!

That sounds like a very thorough and prolonged process. Authors are very lucky to have their books go through such a process, cos it must give them so many tips on how to go about writing their next book!…love the bookshelf behind you 🙂
I loved hearing how you go about reviewing books – I always think it's interesting to hear about other people's creative process. I agree about reviewers who aren't completely truthful in their reviews, it's pretty obvious.
Like the first commenter, I totally recognized the Roald Dahl books behind you. My favorite by him has to be either The Witches or The BFG.
I really enjoyed and appreciated the statements you made on giving books a rating. I currently rate my books, a new thing that I started this year, and I thought it would be great to have something like that added to my reviews, but instead struggle each time I need to add one, for basically the same reasons you listed.
I'm definitely going to be rethinking whether the whole star/rating system thing is for me. Thanks for bringing it up!

That was really interesting April. I don't do the numerical value thing either as it just seemed a little empty in terms of meaning on my blog. I wonder what everyone's review books look like – scrap paper like me, book like you or perhaps iPhones? That really intrigues me too.

I really liked learning how you review things. I think I'll need to re-evaluate how I do so in the near future because I tend to simplify it into stars and points simply so I can elaborate more on what I loved and didn't love.
