The greatly anticipated final book in the New York Times bestselling Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins. The Capitol is angry. The Capitol wants revenge. Who do they think should pay for the unrest? Katniss Everdeen. The final book in The Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins will have hearts racing, pages turning, and everyone talking about one of the biggest and most talked-about books and authors in recent publishing history!!!!

Seeing as how thousands of people will be reviewing Mockingjay, I thought for my review I wouldn’t make a full review, knowing how much I could accidentally give away, so I will just write one word to sum up all of my thoughts on the conclusion to the Hunger Games Trilogy:

Brilliant.

If you had to sum up all of your feelings for Mockingjay in one word, what word would you use? Please keep comments spoiler-free.

  1. I thought "brilliant", too. πŸ˜€

  2. Sadly, I am on the waiting list for both Catching Fire and Mockingjay, so I have to wait to give you my one word!

However, you have won an award on my blog- come check it out! (If you don't want to/don't have time to send it out to more people, I totally understand.)

  3. Angela Craft says

I hope you'll do a full review at some point – I haven't seen any actual reviews come out of the "Brilliant" camp yet. My word would have to be "Disappointed"

  4. Mrs. DeRaps says

    My word would be:

    UNFORGETTABLE

    cause that's what it is.

Loved book three, loved the series, and am also waiting to review because I don't want to ruin anything for anyone!

  5. Emotional.

  6. I posted a full review (with some mild spoilers) on Tuesday, but I haven't seen many people talking about it.

I think my one word would be…Real.

  7. Ohhh that's tough. I'm gonna have to say…

    Intense.

  8. Lisa_Gibson says

I'm so looking forward to reading this. I read where someone said the ending disappointed them. I hope not. πŸ™

  9. I'm going to go with: amazing. I loved it and think Collins is an amazing writer.

  10. I'm *sadly* gonna have to agree with Angela: disappointing. It just didn't live up to the hype, for me. Too much telling and too much crammed into one book.

  11. nomadreader says

Ugh. (Or rather, I'm sorry I invested the time in the series, despite the fantasticness of Catching Fire, to arrive at that ending.)

  12. I'm going to do a twitter hash tag as my one word:

    #neededmore"good"peeta

  13. Redemptive.

(ie I really didn't like Catching Fire but Mockingjay made up for it and completely blew me out of the water)

My huge long rambly post full of spoilers went up today. πŸ˜€

  14. Unputdownable!

Ok – I know that isn’t a word – but that sums up how I felt reading it!

  15. I loved this action packed trilogy, definitely surpasses brilliant for me. I didn’t want it to end.
