Readathon Mini-Challenge #1: Kick Off Strategy

Click here to participate in the first challenge!
My kick-off strategy was pretty straight-forward. I dragged my tired butt out of bed at 7:45 a.m., immediately checked twitter, grabbed my first book and went downstairs to brew some coffee to prep. Can I just say it is fricken freezing in NY state. So I’m in my pink Snuggie, as well as another blanket. I’m in my reading corner, in my blogging chair with a graphic novel by my side. For a book mark, I’m just using whatever scrap of paper comes my way. As for coffee, it is deliciously flavored with Irish Cream in a cup that says “Hot Chocolate” — that is to confuse the coffee thieves in my life.

I may have my boyfriend load my audiobook on itunes, as I am also dog sitting today, and what better way to drown out their barks than with narration. I have also prepared for annoying creatures by getting some bones for them to chew so they don’t consistently poke me while I read.

Here’s a picture of my area:

And with that, I am back to my next book.
