Nice group of books! I have Gateway, I need to start reading it s I've read mixed reviews of it and I want to form my own opinion.

War Dances sounds really good and I haven't heard of the invisable mountain or haruhi sumizaya so thanks for bringing that to my attention 🙂

  4. woa!!! I own the magicians by Lev grossman but not yet reading and I wish for Her Fearful Symmetry…. can't wait for your reviews….

  5. That was A LOT! I definitely in love with the cover of Niffenegger's and Connolly's books. Very eye-catching =)

Happy reading and do enjoy your week.

  6. Oh wow, you got some AWESOME books! I wish I could go to one of those closing Waldenbooks. . .
I still don't understand this "crayon" concept, though – I guess because I don't know what PoC means.
I totally want to check out Nagaru Tanigawa, though!!

  7. Wow, great list of books! I didn't know what crayons was either until I looked at the link at the top of your post.

When my Waldenbooks closed, there wasn't ANYTHING to be bought. (that I liked anyways) Good to see that your experience was different! (and way better!)

You got a huuuuge amount of books. I hope they're all good reads for you. (Especially Flipped-I read it and realy liked it!)

Great Idea with the videos! I just started doing some videos myself over at my blog.

Lev Grossman's The Magicians was excellent. I think you'll like it. Although its a bit more epic fantasy in nature, Patrick Rothfuss' The Name of the Wind is superb and has a similar theme of a young man learning magical skills.

Viola in Reel life sounds interesting. I'm assuming that there are elements of music involved in the book.
